The Circulation Technology Faculty at The Ohio State University is rich in experienced practice-based practitioners. Didactic courses are taught by faculty and clinical perfusionists. There are greater than 20 adjunct faculty and 50 preceptors, many of whom teach in the classroom and clinical setting. We offer excellent integration of classroom learning to supervised practice by hospital observation, clinical simulations and the clinical experience.
As of January 1, 2008, with the full support of the College of Medicine and School of Allied Medical Professions, we have been able to bring on several educators in the Circulation Technology Division to meet our mission and education. These include professors from the College of Veterinary Medicine as well as clinical perfusionists in the Columbus area. This addition will fulfill all the requirements for meeting the current teaching needs as well as allow us to continue the application process for coming years.
