- Admission decisions are
based
- upon these factors:
|
|
•Quality
of application, including personal statement and
experience record
•Personal interview focused on knowledge of the
respiratory care field, academic & career goals, and
communication skills
•Academic achievement: GPA and grades in mathematics and science prerequisite
courses. |
Academic
Achievement
For collegiate applicants, academic achievement
is the overall college point hour ratio and grades
earned in the Prerequisite Science and Mathematics
Courses. These pre-professional courses must be
completed with grades of C- or better and the
science/mathematics grade point average must be at least
2.50. |
|
What
Counts
All grades from all courses taken at accredited
post-secondary institutions are considered in computing
the overall college point hour ratio. Students who have
discontinued their college enrollment for a period of
five years or more may qualify for a recalculation of
cumulative point hour ratio for admission purposes.

How It Works
When more students apply than can be accommodated in a
class, admission is competitive and on a space-available basis.
Students admitted to all Allied Medicine undergraduate programs
are required to have a minimum cumulative point hour ratio of
2.50; however, the minimum cumulative point hour ratio of the RT
class most recently admitted was 2.72. See
