SAMP 2006 Bucks, Brew ‘n Barbeque

What/Who:

All SAMP Alumni are invited to the annual SAMP Alumni Society’s Bucks, Brew, and Barbeque. This is a combination tailgate reunion and SAMP Alumni Society Annual Meeting. Our get-together before the OSU football game includes a great barbeque with icy beverages, fun, fabulous entertainment, and, for the fourth year, a "Silent Auction" to benefit our SAMP Scholarship fund. Last year we raised over $1500. So, bring your cash or checkbooks to bid on great deals, including autographed sports memorabilia, hotel packages, scarlet and gray hand crocheted scarves and sweaters, and restaurant gift certificates. (Sorry, but we cannot accept credit cards.)

Football tickets for alumni continue to be limited. First priority will be given to the featured reunion classes of 1956, 1981, and 1996. There will be a limit of two (2) tickets per alum, or two (2) tickets per household—NO EXCEPTIONS may be made. All alumni, including the 1956, 1981, and 1996 classes, must be members of both the SAMP Alumni Society and the OSU Alumni Association to receive priority for tickets. A lottery will be held if demand for football tickets exceeds supply.

For those ordering game tickets:

Football tickets will be available for pickup in Atwell Hall at the barbeque preceding the game. No tickets will be distributed ahead of time. Please be aware that the name on the reservation form MUST match the name of the person picking up the tickets. You may be asked to show a picture ID. Anyone caught reselling their tickets may lose future rights to purchase football tickets through the OSU Alumni Association.

When:

12:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. kick-off time).

Lobby of Atwell Hall (School of Allied Medical Professions Building), 453 W. 10th Avenue.

Cost:

$92.00 per person for football ticket and Barbeque, OR
$30.00 per person for the barbeque only.

Note: Limit of two (2) football tickets per SAMP alumnus (2 tickets per household) and NO football ticket-only sales. There is no limit on the number of barbeque tickets each alumnus may purchase.

How to Register:

Football tickets will be sold ONLY to alumni who are members of both the OSU Alumni Association (OSUAA) and the SAMP Alumni Society. To join the OSUAA, visit the OSU Alumni Association website. To join the SAMP Alumni Society, download and complete the SAMP Alumni Society Registration Form  and return to us no later than July 28, 2006. The cost of membership in the SAMP Alumni Society is $20.00 per year.

SAMP CLASSES OF 1956, 1981, AND 1996: To register for the OSU Alumni Weekend events and/or the SAMP BB&B, complete BB&B Registration Form A. Using this registration form will help us identify you as a member of one of the featured reunion classes.

ALL OTHER SAMP ALUMNI: To register for the BB&B event on September 2, 2006, complete BB&B Registration Form B.

All registration forms MUST be accompanied by a check made payable to SAMP Alumni Society. Mail your completed form and check to:

Deadline to register: Your registration form and check MUST be postmarked no later than Friday, July 28, 2006 to receive priority consideration for football tickets. If demand exceeds supply, a lottery will be held during the week of August 7. You will be notified by mail August by 15, whether or not you will be receiving football tickets. Again, this will only occur if demand exceeds supply. Anyone who has submitted a check but who was not selected in the lottery will be given the option of purchasing “barbeque only” tickets and receiving a refund for the cost of the football ticket(s) or of receiving a refund for both the barbeque and football ticket(s).
