Laura Harris, Ph.D., ATC Associate Professor & Clinical Coordinator, Athletic Training Division
Biographical Information
Dr. Harris coordinates the on and off-campus clinical rotations for Athletic Training students. She teaches ATH TRNG 303-Basic Athletic Training and ATH TRNG 635-Psychological Aspects of Sports Injury. Her research focus is on psychosocial development and how it impacts athletic healthcare and this work earned her the 2003 Journal of Athletic Training Clint Thompson Outstanding Non-Research Manuscript Award. In 2007 she received the College of Medicine/ SAMP Teaching Award and the OATA Linda Weber Daniel Mentor Award. She is also the chair of the OATA Research and Grants Committee. |
