Michael Sypniak, MS, ATC Assistant Athletic Trainer, Department of Athletics Instructor, Athletic Training Division
Biographical Information
Michael Sypniak joins Ohio State for his first year as assistant athletic trainer responsible for both baseball and field hockey. Sypniak completed his athletic trainer certification for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association in 2003. As an undergrad, he assisted with football, baseball, track and field, women’s basketball, field hockey and swimming. In addition, Sypniak completed a one year internship with the sports medicine department at the University of Maryland where he worked extensively with the baseball program. While attending Syracuse University, Sypniak served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the football team in 2005. Before coming to Ohio State, Sypniak spent a year interning for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills athletic training staff.
