Biographical Information
Michael Sypniak joined Ohio State in 2007 as an assistant athletic trainer. He completed his athletic trainer certification for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association in 2003. As an undergrad, at Slippery Rock University, he assisted with football, baseball, track and field, women’s basketball, field hockey and swimming. In addition, Mike completed a one year internship with the sports medicine department at the University of Maryland where he worked extensively with the baseball program. While attending Syracuse University, Mike served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the football team in 2004 and 2005. Before coming to Ohio State, Sypniak spent a year interning for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills athletic training staff. In addition to his duties as assistant athletic trainer with field hockey and baseball, Mike is also an advisor for OSU’s Athletic Training Club and a member of the clinical care committee.
