PHYSICAL THERAPY The Physical Therapy Division is looking for a faculty member with a promising or established research program to add to our faculty who are nationally recognized for their contributions to research, education, and service to the physical therapy profession. We have created a fun, dynamic work environment that fosters creativity and offers comprehensive support to new faculty. Faculty in the Physical Therapy Division have multiple NIH and foundation funded research projects and embrace a strong, team approach to teaching with extensive resources and support to ensure a balanced workload. We have a well established DPT degree program with a first time pass rate on the NPTE of 100% for the past 2-years. We offer a combined DPT-PhD degree pathway for exceptional students within the program. Many of the Physical Therapy Division faculty have participating faculty status in other PhD programs across the University such as Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, in addition to serving as primary advisors to graduate students in the School’s PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. We also have APTA credentialed residencies in Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy and will begin residencies in Geriatric, Neurologic, and Pediatric Physical Therapy in September 2008. Applicants interested in joining the Division of Physical Therapy should be enthusiastic and well trained scientists seeking a tenure-track position at a research focused university. Applicants with expertise in any area related to Physical Therapy and who are eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Ohio are invited to apply.
