The Health Informatics program focuses on the acquisition, storage, retrieval and utilization of clinical, administrative and financial information in health care. The program prepares individuals for roles in the management, strategic planning, design, integration, implementation and evaluation of healthcare information systems.  Upon graduation, individuals may find employment as a chief information officer, systems analyst, systems engineer, project manager, product developer, consultant or member of an information systems team. Graduates maybe employed in a variety of settings such as an acute care hospital, other health related organization, government agency, business or computer vendor. The curriculum includes coursework available through the School of Allied Medical Professions , Health Information Management and Systems, Accounting and Management Information Systems, and Computer and Information Science.
