Imaging Assistant Program The Division of Radiologic Sciences and Therapy envisions the growth of this program to encompass not only advanced practitioners working in radiology departments but also in a variety of clinical settings such as cardiology, obstetrics, and internal medicine practices where imaging procedures might be indirectly supervised by an interpreting physician. The program includes all coursework required to meet the educational standards of a Radiologist Assistant (RA) program, however, due to the variety of clinical practice areas and diversity of imaging modalities this practitioner may encounter, we have chosen the broader title of Imaging Assistant. This new program prepares registered, certified, licensed health imaging professionals for expanded roles in research, teaching, and professional practice.
