Program Goals The program will prepare the student to excel in an academic career at a major University. Through a combination of coursework and practical experience, students will develop competencies in: - Research methods, statistical techniques, and quantitative (and qualitative) analysis to develop and conduct research programs in health and rehabilitation sciences.
- College teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring to enter university faculty positions.
- Leadership and policy to advance health care and allied health professions.
The PhD program is open to allied health professionals who have completed a graduate degree. This degree can be a Master of Science (MS) in Allied Medical Professions, Masters of Occupational Therapy (MOT), Masters of Physical Therapy (MPT), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and Masters of Science in Dietetics.
