Biographical Information


Kathie coordinates the supervised practice experiences in medical nutrition therapy, community nutrition, nutrition counseling and the culminating experience.  She teaches MD 530:  Nutrition Care Process; MD 645:  Advanced Medical Nutrition Therapy; AM 635: Allied Health Professional Clinical Interviewing; and AM 632:  A Seminar in Diabetes Education and Management.  She is also involved as a nutritionist for the Women’s Intervention Nutrition Study, a national clinical trial investigating the effects of a low fat diet intervention along with conventional treatment and its effects on recurrence in women with early stage breast cancer.  Kathie is also an active volunteer with the Ohio Dietetic Association and the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.

Areas of interest include diabetes, counseling, and nutrition support
