Medical Technology Graduate Program

The MT graduate program is a 3 year program desgined for students who already hold a bachelor's degree in an area other than medical technology but who would like to become certified as an MT/CLS while earning a Masters of Science in Allied Health. Students in the program study the theoretical principles of clinical microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and immunohematology. In each sub-discipline, students apply theory in laboratory and problem-based learning settings, and in supervised practice. After satisfactory completion of the first 2 years of the curriculum, students recieve a certificate of study and are eligible to sit for national certifying exams. Upon completion of the third year curriculum, students recieve a Master of Science degree. The MT certificate program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
