Admission to the Medical Technology program is based on a combination of the following:

  • Overall academic achievement (cumulative GPA)
  • Strong academic performance in math, chemistry, and biology (science  
       GPA)
  • Knowledge of the field and laboratory experience, although not required, 
       are helpful in the admission process for certification students
    * Completion of program pre-requisites
  • NOTE: Completion of all admission criteria does not assure that the applicant will be selected for admission.  Our maximum enrollment is limited to 25 students in the certification track.

    Students are required to have a minimum GPA of 2.50 to be considered for admission into any undergraduate track. Graduate Program applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and GRE scores that are competitive for admission into the OSU Graduate School. 

    APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECIEVED IN THE MEDICL TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT 90 DAYS PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF THE QUARTER IN WHICH YOU WISH TO ENROLL. APPLICATIONS RECIEVED BEYOND THIS DATE ARE NOT GUARENTEED TO BE PROCESSED AND MAY REQUIRE YOU TO RESUBMIT FOR THE FOLLOWING QUARTER.
