Med Tech Students in Microbiology Lab

Our program currently offers three curriculum tracks of study you can choose from depending on your career goals.

1) If you are interested in becoming a medical technologist our certification curriculum will best fit your needs.  This curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level work as a medical technologist. In addition to five quarters of medical technology courses, certification students participate in a ten week internship program prior to graduation in order to gain clinical experience. Graduates of this track of study will be qualified to sit for board certifying examinations upon successful completion. Students can opt to take either the NCA examination or the ASCP examination to become nationally certified.

2) If you are interested in medical, dental, veterinary, law school or any other professional or graduate school our medical science curriculum may be just the thing you are looking for. Click on the link to the left for more information about the curriculum that best fits your needs.

3) If you are currently an MLT and would like to continue your edcuation, our MLT articulation track will best fit your needs. This track provides MLTs with advanced clinical science education and an opportunity to obtain a bachelor's degree, which can be used to fulfill requirements to become eligible for the MT registry.

All graduates from this program receive a BS degree in Allied Health Professions.  Those students who already have a bachelor's degree have the option of getting a second degree or a Certificate of post-baccalaureate study in Medical Technology.
