Autumn 2 – Fundamentals of OT Practice
OT 712	Occupational Development Throughout the Life Span	Exploration of the interactions between personal characteristics, roles, tasks, and activities, and environment in the development of occupation throughout the life span.
OT 714	Foundations of Professional Practice	Development of professional skills through analysis of participation and interactions in heath care settings.
OT 715	Neuroscience: Fundamentals for Occupational Therapists	Fundamentals of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology for occupational therapy practice.
Winter 3 – Understanding Needs and Abilities of Patients/Clients
OT 713	Occupational Therapy and Task Analysis and Media	Analysis of occupation and occupation tasks in self-care, work, and leisure.
OT718	Guided Practicum (Level 1 Fieldwork)	Level 1 fieldwork in a variety of settings.
OT 741	Occupational Therapy for Mental Health	Description and explanation of competing theoretical propositions and techniques used by occupational therapy to bring about change for people with serious emotional/behavioral problems.
OT 747	Occupational Therapy for Treatment of Neurological Conditions	Analysis and application of constructs and intervention strategies for individuals with central nervous system dysfunction.
Spring 4 – Evaluation and Intervention I
OT 716	Sensorimotor Conditions in Occupational Therapy	Analysis of conditions seen in occupational therapy.The focus of this course is to examine these conditions from an evidence-based practice model, which will include exploration of the evidence for evaluation, assessment and treatment.
OT 742	Occupational Therapy Assessment in Mental Health	Systematic observation, assessment, and development of intervention plans for people with serious emotional/behavioral problems and mental disorders
OT 743	Application of Occupational Therapy in Physical Function	Analysis and assessment of physical, cognitive, sensory, and perceptual abilities in adults and the development of occupationally and evidence-based intervention plans.
OT 746	Occupational Therapy Assessment of Children	Describes assessment purposes and selective instruments for those purposes; Test validity and reliability are emphasized.
OT 720	Guided Practicum (Level 1 Fieldwork)	Supervised clinical experience with people who have emotional/behavioral problems or mental disorders.

Autumn 6 – Evaluation and Intervention II
OT 744	Occupational Therapy Assessment of Physical Function	Analysis and assessment of human movement and the relationship of assessments to clinical development of intervention based on theory, clinical reasoning, and facility specific requirements.
OT 745	Occupational Therapy for Children	Emphasizes occupational, motor control, neurophysiologic and developmental approaches for infants and children with disabilities.
OT 721	Guided Practicum (Level 1 Fieldwork)	Supervised clinical experience in settings with individuals who have problems of physical function.
OT 751	Research Methods Used in Occupational Therapy	Research methods and designs used in occupational therapy; analysis of occupational therapy research.
Winter 7 – Preparation for Practice I
OT 724	Guided Practicum (Level 1 Fieldwork)	Guided practicum-Children in Public School
OT 750	Applied Technology in Occupational Therapy	Content includes evaluation of client’s assistive technology needs, recommendations for assistive technology and environmental modifications to maximize function.
OT 752	Planning and Management of Occupational Therapy Services	Examination of the impact of health care delivery systems and public policy on planning and management of occupational therapy services.
Spring 8 – Preparation for Practice II
OT 748	Occupational Therapy Application in Gerontology	Activity based intervention, rehabilitation, and environmental adaptations specific to frail and well aging adults will be examined.  Social policies affecting the lives of older adults will be explored.
OT 753	Occupational Therapy Consultation and Supervision	Examines consultation theories, models, principles, and strategies.  Consultation models will be applied to occupational therapy services in medical, community, and educational systems.
OT 789	Guided Research Practicum	Designing research studies and evidence-based practice.
Post-graduation
OT 785.01/.02	Fieldwork in Occupational Therapy(Level 2, Full-Time)	Full time fieldwork in selected occupational therapy settings.
