My current research is on caregiving and home modifications. I am especially interested in how home modifications can make patients more independent and make caregiving easier. Dr. Susie Zavotka and I have been gathering information about aging in place and whether older families are interested in modifying their homes. We recently presented that data at the Gerontological Society of America’s annual meeting.

I also am working on a project called Farming with Arthritis. This project is in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Health and OSU Extension. We hope to continue this project in 2008 with training for farmers in Clark County.
