, in conjunction with the Physical Therapy program in The OSU School of Allied Medical Professions is currently offering a Geriatric Physical Therapy Residency Program

The program is 12 months in length beginning each year in September.

This program offers the resident the opportunity to work in a geriatric specialty practice and to see patients in both institutional and the home setting.

Educational modules include:

  • Geriatric and neurologic lab teaching assistant
  • Resident/fellow conferences with neurology  physicians and physical medicine physicians
  • Quarterly Grand Rounds
  • Physician shadowing
  • Fall Prevention and Mobility disorders research lab experience.
  • Physician Free clinic experience and coverage.

Salary is commensurate with experience and revenue-generating clinical time.

The Residency Program is applying for accreditation by American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

The Application deadline has been extended to June 1, 2009 and top candidates will be interviewed on campus during June and July of 2009.  Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio.
