Every Spring, the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Divisions co-sponsor a Job Fair for SAMP. Clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation companies, and other employers are invited from all over the country, although the majority of participants have sites in Ohio. The job fair gives students opportunities to network and learn about the current job market. PT students involved with the Job Fair participate in all aspects of planning and coordinating the event. In the Fall, the venue and date are selected, entry fees are determined, and the mailing list is refined. In the Winter, an invitation letter is mailed to all prospective participants and plans are finalized. In the Spring, participants are confirmed, the event is advertised, and the Job Fair takes place. On the date of the Job Fair, students are responsible for helping the vendors set up, manning the refreshments, checking in students and vendors, and cleaning up. The students are encouraged to interact with the vendors throughout the event. A final review of the event is held after the Job Fair to evaluate performance and start initial planning for the next year.
