Welcome to the Human Movement  Performance Laboratory of the Physical Therapy Division at The Ohio State University located in room 236 Atwell Hall on the campus of The Ohio State University Medical Center.  The Human Movement Performance Laboratory is dedicated to the investigation of movement and musculoskeletal disorders. Currently the two primary areas of research include shoulder impingement syndrome and influence of stability on low back pain.  Using state of the art technologies, investigators are able to test hypotheses related to the kinematics, kinetics, motor control strategies, and therapeutic interventions associated with both normal and pathological movement dysfunctions.  The Human Movement Performance Laboratory is also dedicated to the training and development of graduate-student researchers and to provide educational experiences in pathokinesiology for doctor of physical therapy students, other health care professionals, and biomechanical engineers through experimental inquiry, team interaction, and mentorship.
