Radiographers are essential members of the health care team. They are experts in the performance of examinations requiring the use of x-rays and skilled in the use of highly complex machinery. Their responsibility is to produce a quality x-ray image (radiographs) of the internal parts of the body for diagnostic interpretation by a physician (radiologist). They are involved in an interesting and challenging variety of examinations/procedures that may include conventional radiography, fluoroscopy, vascular imaging, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, mammography and quality management.
