Admission to Radiologic Sciences and Therapy is based on the following criteria:
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) with a minimum 2.5
- Grades in the science courses
- Understanding of the profession
- Oral and/or written communication
- Experience in the radiation sciences involving direct patient contact:
- Direct patient contact can be active patient observation in any radiology department or imaging center (except dental or veterinary).
- Required by January 31 of the application year.
- Students applying for admission consideration must complete 50 hours of documented patient contact experience in at least two different modalities prior to the application process. A variety of experiences is encouraged.
- Documentation of experience hours must be completed by the applicant and supervisor(s) using the form, Documentation of Applicant's Radiology Patient Contact Hours. This document requires the current Adobe Reader. The completed form should be mailed directly from the supervisor of the experience to:

You may schedule observation hours by contacting the Volunteer Services department of the hospital or clinic of your choice (except dental or veterinary). Completion of all admission criteria does not assure that the applicant will be selected for admission. Several times more qualified applicants apply than can be admitted. Class enrollment size is variable and is determined by available clinical space projections.
- Radiography class size, about 20 students
- Radiation Therapy class size, about 7-10 students
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography class size, about 10
Those selected for admission are the most competitive applicants in relation to all who apply.
