Suggested Scheduling Plan

Home > Future Students > Traditional Program > Suggested Scheduling Plan

The professional program is thirteen (13) quarters in length, including the summer between the third and fourth year, with the final 10 quarters being completed in sequence. There is no provision for part-time or evening-only enrollment. During the two professional years (years three and four), students perform imaging or therapeutic procedures on patients during clinical education rotations. As the program progresses, students work with more difficult cases, and during the final year, students choose to specialize in a post-primary clinical or non-clinical practicum.

The following plan allows the student to complete the prerequisite courses as well as the General Education Requirements prior to enrollment in the School. It is presumed that students following this plan will enter the University with sufficient preparation to begin mathematics at the 148 (college algebra) level for Radiography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR at the 150 level for Radiation Therapy.  Courses to fulfill the General Education Curriculum (GEC) may be selected from the approved course list, available here.  First-time degree seekers must have most GEC's completed prior to the end of the first year in the professional program.
