Radiologic Sciences and Therapy Division Seniors Receive State Awards

The Radiologic Sciences senior class provided outstanding representation at the 68th Annual Ohio Society of Radiologic Technology Annual meeting.   Traditionally, our seniors compete with students from programs all across Ohio with scientific poster presentations and in the college quiz bowl.   This year, our seniors presented 15 scientific posters, a scientific manuscript, and two teams for the college quiz bowl.   This year,  Elizabeth Trachsel's poster titled: Saddle pulmonary embolism in a cancer patient with protein-S deficiency: A case study, was awarded 1st prize.   Additionally, the college quiz bowl team of Justin Miller, Jessica Crescuillo, and Ashton Divelbiss took 2nd place, after the winning team answered the last question.   This was an unprecedented year for our program to receive these state honors.   I also want to thank Nina Kowalczyk for assisting Elizabeth with poster preparation and Terri Bruckner for coaching a winning quiz bowl team.
