Warner Grants for Sustainable Agriculture Open for Proposals Through March 1
Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Warner On-Farm Research Grant program, which is administered by the Agroecosystem Management Program (AMP) in Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
The Warner grants are funded from an endowment created by Paul C. and Edna H. Warner, and provide up to $5,000 to support collaborative and diverse on-farm research projects that advance sustainable agriculture. Applicants need to include at least 1 farmer and 1 OSU researcher or extension educator, and the research must take place on one or more Ohio farms.
Typically the AMP program funds 1-3 grants per year based on endowment income and requests.
Research topics may vary. Past projects have focused on a range of crops and agricultural systems from improving staple Ohio production systems to more novel and non-traditional topics. Last year’s research projects included mushroom production, aquaculture by-product utilization, and even road management impacts on local agriculture.
The deadline for applications is March 1, 2026
