GIS can help people visualize information in a wide variety of fields, from agriculture and food supply to medicine and epidemiology. A case in point is this time lapse map showing the spread of coronavirus in Ohio. This map shows the spread of coronavirus week by week for each county in Ohio from January 2020 through January 2021. Data for the map is downloaded from the Ohio Department of Health Coronavirus website.
