My interest is in community, sustainability, development, and adaptation. Food systems are an important context that challenge us to consider the social, economic, and environmental factors in pursuit of sustainability. It requires systems thinking, strategic thinking, an appreciation for values, and an ability to imagine different futures. My current work focuses on identifying strategies to develop this type of thinking among students and stakeholders, with the framework of agroecosystems being an important context to develop and apply this type of thinking.
