My work is laser focused on developing systems that support small scale and urban farming, from farmer recruitment to small farm and cooperative management. Our farmers demonstrate that agroecology can be a driving principle in successful small scale farming and our models offer research sites in which to explore innovation and improvement in agroecological outputs.  I am currently building a research and engagement project to cultivate successful farming on the small farm scale. Approaching the rural-urban space as a continuum in which small farms struggle to survive, I work to facilitate sustainable local farming systems and to train sustainable farmers.
